Winding down after years of winding up

The rain has come and I’m spending the night at a cheap ($35) motel in the city of Macon which is SE of Atlanta, GA. I’m taking smaller roads around Atlanta so that I don’t have to deal with the notorious traffic. I cabled my bike to a post and covered it with a tarp to keep curious eyes off of it. After some time has passed, the motel court yard seems quiet. Now I’ll have the evening to be with myself, write and sleep.

After a busy somewhat overly ambitious schedule for these past 5 years or so, I’m glad to have this significant time off to unwind. Of course, I’m also looking forward to next year’s schedule with Mountain Spirit Journeys.

  1. glad you made it safely there...FYI:If you are looking for your tea bags you left them here :0)

  2. Jamal, Happy Holidays to you and your family! I've been following your blog on a daily basis. So happy I sold my KLR to you as your enjoying this world in true KLR fashion. Just as a reminder to always check the sight glass for oil level. When I had it it NEVER used a drop. but sense your doing extreme highway riding it's good to check it. Not sure if yor on OR KLR World forums but if you we're the fellow KLR riders would enjoy your blog. My user name is Quarterhorse_2 on the forums... Have a great journey and ride safe. David Ongano
