The rain has come and I’m spending the night at a cheap ($35) motel in the city of Macon which is SE of Atlanta, GA. I’m taking smaller roads around Atlanta so that I don’t have to deal with the notorious traffic. I cabled my bike to a post and covered it with a tarp to keep curious eyes off of it. After some time has passed, the motel court yard seems quiet. Now I’ll have the evening to be with myself, write and sleep.
After a busy somewhat overly ambitious schedule for these past 5 years or so, I’m glad to have this significant time off to unwind. Of course, I’m also looking forward to next year’s schedule with Mountain Spirit Journeys.

Just as a reminder to always check the sight glass for oil level. When I had it it NEVER used a drop. but sense your doing extreme highway riding it's good to check it.
